The Last Station
Link
James McAvoy's next movie comes out January 15. Actually, he's a supporting actor in a very talented cast: Christopher Plummer, Helen Mirren, Paul Giamatti, and McAvoy's wife, Anne Marie Duff.
The movie is about Leo Tolstoy and has gotten very good reviews.
Another movie to look forward to!

Song of the Moment
link
"Dancing Shoes" by Gavin DeGraw is my song of the moment. I've been listening to it pretty much non-stop for days, and it's not getting old yet.
Here's a vid from his solo acoustic performance of the song on Craig Ferguson last summer. If you've got 4 1/2 minutes, take a listen. My favorite part is around 2:40, when he sustains the vocal as the chords resume. Kinda gives me chills, in fact.
Enjoy!

Food Art
Brad takes pride in his food art. It used to be a way to get the boys to eat (as opposed to my method - "Just eat it!").
It's been awhile since he's created a culinary masterpiece, and this one was created for a different reason. Connor and Brad put it together just to see if they could get Dylan, our increasingly moody tweenager, to crack a smile.
It worked, but just barely.
Even though I kind of miss those days when Brad would arrange the Cheerios into shapes on the table (a van and trailer! a Transformer! a drum set!), it's nice that both boys eat without coaxing most of the time, and we've moved on to the next phase. A pound of hamburger just doesn't go that far anymore.
