Just as it delayed their departure at New Year's, the weather played havoc with their return. Dad described the last leg of their trip on Tuesday, from Pierre to the ND border, as the worst driving in all his 40 years of criss-crossing the country.

They really seemed to enjoy their time down there. I'm glad they could realize this dream, but we missed them terribly! How selfish of me...
